I would like to know how to become part of the research. I lost my uterus to a huge mistake by a doctor when I was 24 years old. I want another biological child and I would love to experience the pregnancy again. I do have one child but My family is more than ready to have another. I am happy that there is hope for people like me out there. I do fear that by the time this is an everyday operation, I will be too old and not in the condition to carry a child. I still have hope in things like this and if I have to, we are willing to try invitro with my sister as the carrier. But even that will take some time and money. With this economy, I would rather be a part of a study and get exactly what I want. Or at least a shot at it, than save and save and hope that we can do the IV with a donor later. I am so glad to know that there are people out there working on this. It should not be so controversial in my mind. Some of us really want our own babies that we carry and to have the experience as close to nature as possible. It is not my fault that I had to have an emergency partial hysterectomy because of a doctors mistake. I am sure there are other women that share my experience that still want a child of their own.
