Perhaps our bodies are better able to handle pregnancy at a younger age; however, speaking on behalf of myself, my girlfriends, and the &quot;boys&quot; (who were really young men, but just boys in so many ways&quot;) that we were dating, were no where near ready to handle parenthood in our teens and early twenties. There was no way we were mature enough mental, emotionally and intellectually to be good parents. Not to mention, we were not at all financially ready.
