HI my name is Laura I have 2 children ages 20 & 18
this may seem like a really stupid thing to ask at my age 42yrs lol! I had a tubal ligation approx. 2 years ago and am sitting here wondering if I could be pregnant? I am very tired, bloated??,gasy, moody. I have NEVER missed a period, other than when I was pregnant. MY question is...is it possiable for a tubal to "fail"? what are the chances of it failing? Or am I go thru "the change"? I havent had much luck finding a lot of info on this so any suggestions would be great!! thank-you
                                                          Laura

What a waste of money! But of course, that is exactly what they want you to do- waste your money on this test. Are you able to get pregnant? 85% of women will have no problem doing so by having unprotected sex over the course of 12 months. And they don't need to measure their FSH to do so. If a woman is wondering if she is ovulating, it's far less expensive to take a basal body temperature every morning and record it, as well as monitor cervical mucus changes.

Even for those of us who have infertility issues, 40% of those issues are due to male factor infertility alone. This test would be utterly worthless in those cases. The measurement and interpretation of hormone levels, combined with a host of other data, needs to be done by a reproductive endocrinologist. Boo to First Response!
