		<description>I&#039;ve heard that from other people, too. With Obama himself acknowledging SP would be the way to go if we were building the system from scratch, it&#039;s surprising there wasn&#039;t at least some public discussion earlier on. Maybe if they gave it more time -- a year to build the movement -- it would have a legitimate chance. It&#039;ll be interesting to see what happens if there isn&#039;t an agreement this year -- or if it&#039;s so watered down that we end up right back where we started two/four/six years from now.</description>

From what I read of the other groups who met and wrote up their input, they almost all suggested a single payer system, too.</description>
